Video: 3 Personal branding tips

In the midst of so much uncertainty, the futures of our careers can feel entirely out of our control. It's a helpless feeling to look into the future and not know what our next career move will be, what opportunity will present itself, or where we're going to land.

I like to stick to the "control what you can when everything feels out of control" mantra, which is why I think investing time in building personal branding can be such a powerful tool. A strong personal brand can feel like a life raft in the middle of rough career waters.

If, over time, you build a network of advocates and a personal brand that showcases your strengths, story, skillset, and ideas, I believe opportunities will show up for you when you need them the most. 2. Tell a compelling career story

3. Share your work, goals, and ideas with your network
