Hi, I'm Liz

Founder of Liz Navarro + Co

ABOUT

I'm Liz, founder of Liz Navarro + Co. I spend my days helping clients and students communicate effectively. I'm a professor of public speaking at SMU, a copywriter who helps brands connect to their customers, and a strategist who helps professionals activate new opportunities through their communications platforms. Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to help dozens of clients launch websites and podcasts, grow their audiences, develop TED talks, refine their personal brands, and elevate their businesses and careers through strategic communications.

Always, my goal is to empower you to share your ideas with confidence, clarity, intention, connection, and metaphorical jazz hands.

I'm a person who likes to quote Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Chandler Bing and Peloton instructor Robin Arzon. In designing my own career path, and have found the most success when I use my authentic voice--on a website, on a stage, in a conversation--to activate new opportunities. Those opportunities are what created this business.

Of course, that wasn’t always the case. A few years ago I moved from Los Angeles to Dallas. I was a new mom in a new city at a crossroads in my career. A serial dabbler, I’ve worked in event planning, advertising, taught high school, became a college professor… and I still I couldn’t commit to being one thing. The only word on my mind was should- as in, I should know what I want to do by now. Should I get another degree? I should be getting promoted instead of changing directions.

"At some point, I started using my voice to turn "should" into "yes."

Yes, I would like an introduction. Yes, I will take part time work.

Yes, I’d love to tell you what lights me up. Yes, I will apply to give a TED talk."

When I stopped focusing on what I should be doing and started talking to the right people--even if I didn’t always know what to say--everything changed. Now, I have learned that whether I’m writing, speaking, teaching, or meeting new clients, my ability to share my ideas as my true self is what has created the relationships that have built my business. Authentic communication has helped me turn no’s into yes's, strangers into friends, and a side hustle into a business.

If that sounds like something you’re into, you've come to the right place.

In a career of writing content and coaching speakers, I've learned a few things about voices. I know now that in order to break through the noise, you don’t have to be the strongest, loudest, newest, most beautiful, most educated, most experienced, or most shocking.

You need to be...

The most sincere.

The most aware of what your audience needs.

The most in-tune with your own strengths.

The most vulnerable.

The most prepared.

And every single platform, post, microphone, and meeting becomes an opportunity to impact your own life or somebody else’s- if you know how to use it. Whether you’re looking to harness and amplify your voice in your business or your personal life, I want to help you show up and be heard as your true self, in all your raw, quirky, authentic glory.

Find your voice, share your ideas, connect to your people, activate your dreams.

And thank you for being a part of mine.
